How can big data enhance seafood supply chain management? Traceability Leadership Forum has an answer

The third annual Traceability Leadership Forum, put on in part by Trace Register, is coming to New Orleans, Louisiana on Wednesday, 10 August as a part of the Food Marketing Institute’s (FMI) and Grocery Manufacturers Association’s 2016 Global Sustainability Summit.

Categorized as a Pre-Summit Session, the forum invites retailers and trading partners to discuss and learn more about the latest in traceability techniques and developments as related to seafood supply chain management. Moreover, attendees of the session will learn how traceability can help meet regulatory compliance including the Food Safety Modernization Act (FSMA); the power of digital certificates in achieving corporate and social responsibility goals is also on the agenda, said FMI.

“As a featured educational opportunity for the nation’s food retailer, seafood and sustainability executives, FMI is pleased to partner with Trace Register for the Third Annual Traceability Leadership Forum,” said FMI’s Rick Stein, Vice President for Fresh Foods, in a prepared statement. “Retailers and stakeholders are committed to better understanding how technological advancements are streamlining the intensive process of verifying product requirements and ultimately enhance the consumer experience.”
