The observation follows a visit by the minister to a Wholesale Fish Market event at the Jurong Fishery Port last December.?? In his latest blog post, Mr. Khaw said fish merchants told him that their business has been going down over the years.??
This, despite Singaporeans being the second largest consumers of fish, after the Japanese, in Asia, in per-capita consumption terms.??
