King & Prince hires social responsibility director

King & Prince Seafood on Thursday announced Cindy Jacobs joined the company has director of corporate social responsibility and education.

Jacobs will be responsible for developing the company’s corporate social responsibility policy and for communicating and implementing this policy both internally and externally.

In addition, she will lead the company’s endeavors to create a professional, skilled and motivated workforce by engaging the local community. Her objectives includes ensuring King & Price is at the forefront of developing and implementing corporate social responsibility expectations and making the company the employer choice in Southeast Georgia.

Jacobs most recently worked as school improvement specialist for the Georgia Department of Education. She was an assistant professor of education at Armstrong Atlantic State University, and has also worked locally at Coastal College of Georgia and with the Glynn County Board of Education.
