Figures from the Alaska Department of Fish and Game show that Kodiak's salmon catch this year was the most valuable in almost two decades.
According to the Kodiak Daily Mirror, preliminary figures show that Kodiak fishermen hauled in 19 million fish worth USD 44,975,796. That is the highest value since 1995.
