Lighthouse Caledonia appoints new CEO

Lighthouse Caledonia on Monday announced it appointed Mike Corbett as its new CEO, effective in April.

Corbett currently serves as general manager within the Health Service Executive in Ireland. He has also worked extensively in Scotland as assistant director of finance for the Lothian Health Board and divisional general manager for Lothian University Hospitals Trust. He also served as general manager for hospital services at Western Isles Health Board.

“I am delighted that we were able to identify and secure Mike’s appointment. He comes from a complex sector, where managing the diverse aspects of an organization needs a coherent and focused approach,” said Jim Mullins, the company’s chairman. “He, therefore, has the core skills Lighthouse Caledonia needs to manage and grow its business in a structured and strategic way for all our staff, customers and suppliers.”

Lighthouse Caledonia last week announced the resignation of Managing Director Odd Geir Oddsen. Oddsen also stepped down from the company’s board.

Lighthouse Caledonia is one of Scotland’s largest salmon farmers.
