Morpol management shuffle

Morpol’s board of directors has appointed Adam Basalaj, former Frosta Poland managing director, CEO.

John-Paul McGinley, who has been serving as acting CEO since February, will take the position as COO of sales and marketing.

In addition, effective 1 December, Teis Knudsen will be COO of processing.

Current CFO Piotr Kapinos will remain in the role.

“Mr Basalaj is a strong leader with an impressive track record from the food industry in Poland. I am confident that he will fill the role as CEO in a very good way,” said Ola Brattvoll, Morpol chairman. “I want to thank Mr. McGinley for the efforts he has made as CEO. During his tenant the smoked salmon industry has been facing difficult market conditions and high raw material prices. Mr. McGinley has managed this period well, showed by the improved results in the third quarter.

“With this group management we have a skilled and strong team contributing to the future profitable growth of Morpol.”
