Norway salmon prices climb back up

After dropping slightly last week, prices of fresh Norway salmon exports climbed back up from 14 January to 20 January, according to data from Statistics Norway.

Export price of fresh salmon came to NOK 34.76 per kilo (USD 6.29, EUR 4.67) up 4.2 percent from 7 January to 13 January. Export quantity decreased 3.5 percent for the week to 15,135 metric tons (MT), compared to 15,684 MT from the previous seven-day period.

Norway exported 814 MT of frozen salmon at NOK 30.12 per kilo (USD 5.45, EUR 4.05) compared to 553 MT at NOK 30.22 per kilo (USD 5.47, EUR 4.06) for the week before.
