Salmon Brands finds new MD in Orkla Health exec

Salmon Brands AS of Norway, which owns the Salma brand, has named former Orkla executive Tine Hammernes Leopold as its new managing director, effective 1 June.

Leopold will take over for Trym Eidem Gundersen, who will depart the company after serving in the executive role for 9 years on 1 March to become the Norwegian Seafood Council’s new representative in Italy. She spent the last 10 years working for Orkla Health, serving in several executive capacities including marketing director and CEO in Norway. Most recently, Leopold held the position of CEO and commercial director for Orkla Health Group's strategy, marketing, R&D and sales division. Aside from Orkla, Leopold has also spent time working for Peter Moller (Moller's Tran), Saetre, Nidar and Lilleborg over the course of her career thus far.
