New Hires and Moves

3_SC_NFI.pngMargaret Malkoski → The National Fisheries Institute ◊ After spending nearly three years with High Liner Foods as a foodservice research and development manager, Margaret Malkoski is moving on to work with the National Fisheries Institute (NFI) as the non-profit trade association’s new director of scientific affairs. With nearly 30 years of food safety and product development under her belt, Malkoski is primed to take over her new position; her 16 years spent chairing NFI’s technical committee will also serve to inform Malkoski’s leadership as she transitions into the role.

"Margaret has been in the trenches,” said Lisa Weddig, NFI’s vice president for regulatory and technical affairs, of the association’s new hire. “She’ll be a tremendous asset to our members because she not only knows the science but also knows how it impacts businesses and how to be a resource in real time.”

Career Highlights: Served as a foodservice research and development manager at High Liner Foods from 2013 to February 2016.
