Skuna Bay expands distribution to New England, Florida

Skuna Bay Vancouver Island Craft Raised Salmon has entered two new markets recently by inking distribution deals that will see its products sold in New England and Florida. The company’s distribution now extends to all four corners of the U.S. market.

For the New England region — Maine, Massachusetts, New Hampshire, Vermont, Rhode Island and Connecticut — Skuna Bay is partnering with distributor Foley Fish in Boston.

“Nothing makes our farmers happier than supplying America’s best chefs with great salmon. It is exciting to be back in Boston and New England and seeing our Craft Raised Salmon utilized by the region’s top culinary experts,” said Dave Mergle, director of Skuna Bay.

“At Foley Fish we are proud to offer our customers truly differential items of the highest quality and we are happy to add Skuna Bay salmon to the list,” added Peter Ramsden, president and co-owner of Foley Fish.

The farmed salmon supplier is also entering the Florida market through a partnership with distributor North Star Seafood in Pompano Beach, Fla. Rick Burman, president of North Star, said the arrangement is two years in the making.

“We think our many discerning customers will appreciate these perfect salmon and the pride and attention to detail that has gone into getting it here in fresh-from-the-ocean condition,” said Burman.

Skuna Bay’s other distribution partners include Pacific Seafood (Northwest), Samuels and Son Seafood (Mid-Atlantic), Fortune Fish (Midwest), Santa Monica Seafood (Southwest) and Seattle Fish Co. (Colorado).
