Chinese authorities caught onto a group of smugglers attempting to sell salmon as mackerel as a means to squeak by on paying lower customs taxes earlier this year. Dubbed “Operation Icebreaker,” the bust targeted 21 seafood smuggling cells and exists as the biggest ever crackdown of its kind in China.
