U.S. lifts antidumping duties for pangasius firms

According to the eighth preliminary report of the US Department of Commerce, 18 Vietnamese pangasius exporters were exempt from anti-dumping taxes from 1 August 2010 to 31 July 31 2011.

Truong Dinh Hoe, general secretary of the Vietnam Association of Seafood Exporters and Producers (VASEP), said that according to US regulations, any business that is offered a zero tax rate for three consecutive years can be exempt from anti-dumping duty indefinitely.

Among the exporters, Vinh Hoan Group has enjoyed a zero tax duty in the U.S. market for four consecutive years.
