In 2011, Vietnam’s top ten largest seafood exporters accounted for over 20 percent of the country’s total export turnover. Of which, six companies have strength in shrimp export and the remaining four firms specialize in tra catfish export, according to Vietnam Association of Seafood Exporters and Processors (VASEP).
Minh Phu Seafood Group Joint Stock Co (coded MPC) continued to be Vietnam’s leading company with the highest export turnover and market share of shrimp (over 5.7 percent).
Vinh Hoan Joint Stock Co is Vietnam’s biggest exporter of tra catfish and ranked at the second place amongst top ten seafood exporters.
