Vietnamese seafood processor and exporter Bianfishco will build a pangasius research institute to improve the cultivation of the species, according to news reports.
The center, to be named "Pangasius Bianfishco Vietnam," will be located in Can Tho City, next to the company's production and processing facilities. Bianfishco is recruiting aquaculture experts from Vietnam and abroad.
"With due investment in human resource and technological infrastructure the institute will contribute significantly to the development of pangasius farming and processing in Mekong Delta provinces," says Dieu Hien, director of Bianfishco.
