A warehouse owned by seafood distributor and wholesaler Young Ocean, based in Kent, Washington, U.S.A., was destroyed by a 2-alarm fire on 2 September.
After responding at 1:29 a.m. local time, Puget Sound Fire fought the fire at the warehouse in Kent for around four hours, according to Puget Sound Fire. No one was in the building, and there have been no reported injuries from firefighters, according to Puget Sound Fire.
The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
Young Ocean, which has been in business since 1988, delivers fresh seafood and other foods to restaurants throughout Washington, Oregon, Georgia, and Texas, according to its web site. It sources raw materials primarily from Alaska and supplies global markets, including Korea, Japan, and China.
In addition to Kent, Young Ocean also has branches in Portland, Oregon, U.S.A.; Houston, Texas, U.S.A.; and Atlanta, Georgia, U.S.A.
Young Ocean declined to comment.
