Acme serves up new sashimi style smoked salmon product

Brooklyn, New York-based company Acme Smoked Fish Corp. is showcasing its new product at this year’s Seafood Expo North America / Seafood Processing North America event in Boston, Massachusetts – Blue Hill Bay Sashimi Style Smoked Salmon.

The product, which is on display as part of the SENA New Product Showcase, consists of sliced, premium medallions from salmon loins that have been lightly cured with salt and natural hardwood smoke. Produced to cater to the latest consumer trends, which favor shareable options and appetizers, the Blue Hill Bay Sashimi Style Smoked Salmon is “ready-to-eat and ideal to enjoy by itself,” according to Acme. However, with the accompanying gluten-free soy sauce packet, the smoked salmon offering can be enjoyed over rice as well.

The product is high in protein, omega-3 fatty acids and is considered to be an excellent source of vitamin D, the company said. It must be refrigerated at 38 degrees Fahrenheit, and is best if consumed within five days of opening.

SENA17 attendees can visit the New Product Showcase at Booths No. 2601 and 3001; the showcase is sponsored by Portland, Maine-based company Bristol Seafood Inc.
