Seafood Expo North America – 2018 Expo Preview

We look forward to welcoming those of you attending the 38th edition of Seafood Expo North America / Seafood Processing North America in Boston next week. With 1,340 exhibitors from 56 countries, the exposition continues to break records and will be the largest in the event’s history.

This year we have a lot for you to see and do at the expo:

The conference program is packed with educational sessions covering corporate social responsibility, the global seafood marketplace, aquaculture, food safety, policy, sustainability, traceability and transparency, and includes the the free-to-all keynote presentation from Mark Blyth, political economist, author and Brown University professor, who will speak on “What Does Globalization 3.0 look like? Global Trade in a World of Local Populism.” Attend the special events in the demonstration theater, featuring the 12th Annual Oyster Shucking Competition, a master class on oysters and a Maine lobster chef demonstration.

Join us on Sunday afternoon at 3:00pm for the announcement of the winners of the Seafood Excellence Awards competition. The Awards will be presented to two companies for the “Best New Retail Product” and “Best New Foodservice Product.” In addition to the New Product Showcase, which displays the latest seafood products launched in the market, the Featured Product Showcase highlights exhibitors’ finest products represented at the event, regardless of their introduction date to the market.  Visit the New Product Showcase and Featured Product Showcase in the 3500 aisle, next to the Relax and Recharge lounge.
