Pallet maker Dolav Benelux will debut new fish handling boxes at Seafood Expo Global/Seafood Processing Global, taking place 26 to 28 April in Brussels, Belgium.
The first new model of Dolav box is 540 mm high and features a 1,200 mm by 1,000 mm base. It has solid or perforated HDPE walls and bases and, when empty, can be moved by one person manually.
Dolav will also introduce two new, longer boxes of 1,750 mm by 1,000 mm and 1,870 mm by 800 mm. Both are 740 mm in height and can handle longer fish, according to a company press release.
Dolav’s new perforated plastic pallet is 1,200 by 800 mm. The company will also begin production of a 1,200 by 1,000 mm model soon.
“Our Dolav boxes have been developed for fish processing and handling fish, fish product and fish by-product. They are widely used for fish processing, transport and storage so we are exhibiting for the third time at Seafood Expo [Global] to meet existing and new customers,” Addy Bleijs, business development manager at Dolav Benelux, said.
Dolav boxes are winchable and stackable, fitted with drain plugs and have moulded-in runners and high-density structural foam injected construction, which speeds up cooling, increases playload and prevents inner-wall contamination, according to the company.
