MSC, ASC to reveal new consumer data at upcoming SEG forum

The Marine Stewardship Council (MSC) in partnership with the Aquaculture Stewardship Council (ASC) will host a forum on building consumer demand and trust in the seafood sector at the upcoming Seafood Expo Global/Seafood Processing Global, taking place from 26 to 28 April in Brussels, Belgium.

The session, entitled “Seafood Futures Forum: Growing consumer demand and trust,” will feature perspectives from across the seafood retail sector., including those of Jacqui Macalister, IKEA Food’s head of health and sustainability; Caroline Meledo, Hilton Worldwide’s senior manager for corporate responsibility; and Ed Gillespie, co-founder of sustainable communications agency Futerra.

In addition, Nicolas Guichoux, the global commercial director at the MSC, and Esther Luiten, senior commercial marketing manager at ASC will give market updates and will share new data on consumer perceptions.

The event will be streamed live on YouTube (see below), with updates posted to Twitter under the hashtag #SeafoodFutures.
