The webinar will feature Nancy Peterson, president of Massachusetts-based Emerging Brands Marketing. Peterson has 20-plus years of experience in consumer-goods marketing with Gorton’s of Gloucester, where she played a big role in the launch of several new seafood products and lines. During a 30-minute presentation, Peterson will discusses the keys to launching a successful seafood product at retail, including knowing your customer, marketing a unique selling proposition and delivering effective packaging.

Following her presentation, Peterson will be available to answer participants’ questions in a 30-minute Q&A session. Joining Peterson for the Q&A session will be Stephen Nicholson, director of culinary innovations for Miami-based MacKnight Smoked Salmon. Nicholson knows a thing or two about seafood innovation. Since 2009, his company has captured four top prizes at two new product competitions — the International Boston Seafood Show’s Seafood Excellence Awards and the European Seafood Exposition’s Seafood Prix d’Elite.
