Algeria and China are interested in implementing a bilateral cooperation in aquaculture and fisheries based on their mutual interest. Officials from both countries met to further discuss its development in Algeria with technical assistance from Beijing. The North African country is also willing to open its doors to Chinese investors in such sectors in order to develop it in the country.
China has established itself as the nation with the biggest yield and output value in the fishery sector globally. It has maintained the position since 1990. Vice Minister Niu Dun assured the Algerian minister of Fisheries and Marine Resources, Sid Ahmed Ferroukhi, that they will be pleased to share their experience and know-how with the Algerians.
The Algerian minister appreciated the much-needed gesture and hailed China’s success in the sector.
