Marine Harvest on Friday announced it purchased 28,826,736 shares in rival Grieg Seafood at NOK 22 (USD 3.61, EUR 2.69) per share.
The transaction is worth NOK 634 million (USD 104 million, EUR 77.6 million).
Following the purchase Marine Harvest holds 25.8 percent of the share capital in Grieg Seafood.
