Coppens International, the European aquaculture feed subsidiary of animal health and nutrition company Alltech has chosen its marketing and sales manager, Ronald Faber, to be its new managing director.
Faber has been with the company since 1998 and his promotion follows the decision by current MD, Anno Galema, to step down from the role.
Alltech acquired Coppens in June last year, and Galema had worked closely with the new parent company to ensure a smooth integration into the portfolio.
“By joining Alltech, Coppens received the opportunity to grow, invest and bring the best aqua nutrition solutions to producers around the world,” Galema said. “I am very proud of my journey with Coppens and [I am] truly excited for its future at the forefront of aqua health and nutrition. The company’s future with Alltech is strong, and I congratulate my colleague Ronald and wish him every success in his new role.”
Earlier this month, Alltech and Coppens opened a new aquaculture research center in Valkenswaard, the Netherlands.
