Scottish Salmon Co. plans new farm

The Scottish Salmon Company has submitted a planning application for a new farm site at Reibinish as part of the company’s key objective to increase volumes and help secure a sustainable business in the Western Isles.

This is one of potentially three new applications being considered by the Scottish based and operated salmon farming company for Harris.

Reibinish lies to the south of East Loch Tarbert on South Harris and if approved, the site would farm 2,000 metric tons of salmon which would be processed at the company’s Marybank facility.
