Tilapia Producer Seeks Investors

HQ Sustainable Maritime Industries announced earlier this week that it hired New York-based communications firm KCSA Strategic Communications to pursue investors.

Jeffrey Goldberger, managing partner at KCSA, will lead the investor-relations campaign.

HQ Sustainable is headquartered in Seattle and raises and processes tilapia in China's Hainan province.

"U.S. consumption of seafood, in particular tilapia products, continues to rise at a significant rate, and as China's leading producer of tilapia fish exports to the U.S., we find ourselves poised for significant growth," says Norbert Sporns, CEO of HQ Sustainable. "With this in mind, we believe that the time is right to implement a more assertive communications program, and we are looking forward to working with KCSA in this endeavor. I am confident that future efforts will expose HQS to a broad, yet targeted audience, while maintaining the highest standards for transparent and timely communications."

Goldberger adds, "HQS is an exciting company, in an equally exciting and rapidly growing industry. The company is actively meeting an increasing market need for aquatic products, while working to increase capacity and expand margins. We strongly believe that they represent a tremendous value proposition for the institutional investment community and look forward to helping them increase investor awareness."
