Chicken of the Sea Frozen Foods names Mary O’Rourke head of its wholesale channel

Chicken of the Sea Frozen Foods has named Mary O’Rourke as vice president of its broadline foodservice and wholesale business.

El Segundo, California, U.S.A.-based Chicken of the Sea Frozen Foods (COSFF) promoted O’Rourke from her previous position as the company’s senior director of foodservice. In her new role, O’Rourke will lead a team that services regional wholesalers and independent operators nationally, the company said in a press release.

“We’re all very excited to see how Mary can bring her proven-experience in foodservice to the wholesale channel. This is a well-deserved promotion,” COSFF Senior Vice President of Sales and Marketing Brenden Beck said.

O’Rourke replaces David Litle, who will begin his new role as senior vice president of business development at Santa Monica Seafood at the end of April.

In her time as senior foodservice director, O’Rourke led COSFF’s relationships with foodservice broadline operators including Sysco, US Foods, and Performance Food Group. O’Rourke started her career in the seafood industry in 1998 with Empress International and joined Chicken of the Sea Frozen Foods when the two companies merged in 2009.

COSFF is a fully owned subsidiary of the Thai Union Group. It operates seafood brands including Xcellent, Asian Gold, Orion, Van Camp, and Chicken of the Sea, sold at retailers, clubs, wholesalers, broadline foodservice operators, and national restaurants chains.
