Christa Ingalls named new business development manager for Maritech

Maritech, a Norwegian traceability and business software developer, has hired Christa Ingalls as the company’s new business development manager for North America.

The company said the hire is part of a commitment to strengthen its presence in North America.

“We are very excited to welcome Christa Ingalls to Maritech,” Maritech Managing Director Blair Shelton said in a press release. “Her in-depth industry savvy and market knowledge is core to our strategic direction, especially at a time when Maritech is undergoing significant growth internationally and with substantial new product development and expansion of the seafood value chain.”

Ingalls has 30 years of experience in the seafood industry, most recently as the owner of her own consultancy. Previously, she has worked as vice president of sales with Cannon Fish Company and director of Philips Foods’ global seafood program.  In that role, Ingalls created and implemented a sales strategy for sustainable and premium species.  Ingalls has also served as seafood commodity manager for Avendra LLC and as an account executive at Pacific Seafood.

In her new role, Ingalls will be based in Seattle, Washington, U.S.A.
