Former Inland Seafood and Anova executive joins Sea Delight

Coral Springs, Florida U.S.A.-headquartered Sea Delight Group has found its new vice president of national accounts in Scott Purinton, the seafood supplier announced on 15 August.

In his new role, Purinton will oversee sales team leadership, and will work to drive revenue and develop new products, Sea Delight said.

“Scott’s invaluable industry expertise is an asset to our growing sales team,” said Eugenio Sánchez, Sea Delight’s president. “We are excited to bring on his expertise in client relationships, product sourcing, and industry development to help us expand our sales program and reach new markets.”

Prior to arriving at Sea Delight, Purinton worked for Tucker, Georgia, U.S.A.-based Inland Fresh Seafood Co. as is vice president of national accounts. He also worked as the vice president of national sales for Anova Food, LLC, where he helped to develop the company’s global production and importing program, achieving more than USD 50 million (EUR 45 million) in sales.

"I’m excited to join Sea Delight, a successful family owned seafood company that has been servicing the seafood industry for over 20 years,” Purinton said. “Sea Delight and its affiliates have been a prominent fixture in the seafood industry and are recognized as an entrepreneurial and innovative leader in the production, and consistent availability of many seafood species within the seafood preservation category. They are an industry leader in species sustainability and social responsibility. They have a wonderful leadership team who have diversified into multiple fresh and frozen seafood species including pasteurized and fresh imported crab meat.”

Purinton will join Alex Cook, the vice president of sales, and report to Cesar Bencosme, Sea Delight’s executive vice president. Together, the team will focus on expanding the company’s product list, which now includes blue and red swimming crabmeat, courtesy of Sea Delight’s recent acquisition of Bonamar Corporation-related intellectual property.

“I look forward to working with the team to develop new products and to maintaining, promoting, and growing all of our established items and brands throughout North America and beyond,” Purinton said.
