Libby Woodhatch to head marine ingredients certifier IFFO RS

IFFO RS Ltd., the marine ingredients certification organization, has appointed Libby Woodhatch as its executive chair.

Woodhatch is currently the head of advocacy for the Seafish, the seafood industry authority in the United Kingdom, and previously served as the chief executive of industry trade body Seafood Scotland. At Seafish, Woodhatch played a major role in the development of the Responsible Fishing Scheme (RFS) standard for vessels.

“I am thrilled to be offered this role,” Woodhatch said. “I look forward to working with the governing body and team at IFFO RS to establish the standard further.”

Woodhatch replaces Andrew Jackson, who is retiring after leading the organization since 2009.

“I am delighted that Libby has agreed to take on this role for IFFO RS,” Mallison said. “Following on from last year’s strategic review, we have arrived at an exciting and interesting time for IFFO RS. Libby has just the right qualities to lead the standard to even greater success over the coming years and provide an accessible, but credible, standard for marine ingredient producers to aspire to and achieve, in all regions of the world.”
