New CEO appointed at Rügen Fisch

German fish processor and Thai Union business Rügen Fisch AG, with its subsidiaries Hawesta-Feinkost Hans Westphal GmbH & Co. KG and Ostsee Fisch GmbH & Co. Produktions-und Vertriebs KG, has appointed Jens Vogler as CEO.

In his role as CEO, Vogler will manage the entire Rügen Fisch Group, with responsibility for its performance including the commercial and supply chain strategies, and annual business plans. 

Part of his remit is to position Rügen Fisch, Hawesta, and Lysell as premium brands. 

Vogler’s appointment will begin on 1 June, 2019. He joins the group from Bonduelle in Germany, Austria, and Switzerland, where in his role as general manager, he had responsibility for the branded, private label, and foodservice divisions. His previous employers include Danone and Unilever. 

Together with CFO Axel Wolff, Vogler will report to the Supervisory Board of Rügen Fisch AG. He will also sit on the Thai Union Europe Leadership Team.
