As Ocean Beauty Seafoods grows its own brands, as well as distributes Findus’s products in the United States, the supplier is adding to its sales team.
The Seattle, Washington-based company recently hired Nathan Rice as its East Coast sales manager and Sean Taylor as its Midwest sales manager.
“We are excited to grow our sales teams with two professionals who have undeniable passion for the seafood industry and its growth potential,” said Ron Christianson, vice president of domestic sales for Ocean Beauty, in a press release. “I am looking forward to working with Nathan and Sean to provide the best products and service to our customers.”
Ocean Beauty announced last month that it is the U.S. distributor for Findus, a brand of Nomad Foods in Sweden. It will show Findus’s fish-based range at Seafood Expo North America 2019 (Booth #1205), 17-19 March in Boston, Massachusetts.
It is also debuting a new retail line of skin-packed seafood portions under its Ocean Beauty brand and two new products under its Echo Falls brand at SENA.
Taylor, the former director of national accounts at Aqua Star Corporation, has nearly 12 years of experience in both directorial and managerial positions, with a career including seven years at Aqua Star Corporation.
“My fervor for the industry has been lifelong,” Taylor said. "I was born into the seafood industry, and am carrying on the family torch from my father who taught me how to count shrimp before I could ride a bike. I could not be more thrilled to continue to grow at Ocean Beauty.”
Rice, who most recently served as manager of Commercial Smokehouse Operations for Ivy City Smokehouse in Washington, District of Columbia, has nearly six years of experience in both directorial and managerial positions. He also has many years of customer and client services experience, Ocean Beauty said.
