Singapore-based tilapia farming company Regal Springs Group has hired Petra Weigl as its general manager of sales for Europe.
Weigl was recruited from Nomads Food Europe, where she had served as channel director discount international since May 2015, according to her LinkedIn profile. She had worked at Nomad Foods and Iglo since 2011, starting as a general manager of the group’s private label and export business. She also worked at Coppenrath &Wiese and Pickenpack.
“Petra joins us with a strong track record in multi-channel sales and will help realise our plans for growth,” Regal Springs CEO Achim Eichenlaub said. “She is also a great fit for the culture of our business.”
In her new job, Weigl will be responsible for the execution of new products, marketing and sales support across the European region, according to Soren Dalsager, Regal Springs’ executive vice president of global sales.
“I have the greatest confidence that with her experience and European team we will successfully build on our current business and further improve consumer awareness of the many features of premium tilapia,” Dalsager said.
