Seafood People adds Andrew Mallison, Alexander Kolibius to advisor network

Bergen, Norway-based Seafood People, a management consulting and executive search firm for the global seafood industry, has added Andrew Mallison and Alexander Kolibius to its global executive advisor network.

Seafood People’s newly established global management consulting division, which was created in October 2020, is headed by Ole-Alexander Palm.

Mallison is the former CEO of the Global Aquaculture Alliance. He resigned from his position at GAA in February 2020. Mallison joined GAA after more than seven years as director general of IFFO – The Marine Ingredients Organization. Previously, he served as the global sourcing manager of seafood for Marks and Spencer. He will take on the position of executive partner at Seafood People.

“Andrew is an organizing force in both nonprofit and for-profit organizations,” Seafood People Managing Director Thomas Bakke said. “He understands the social and environmental challenges in our industry. He is a value-driven, forward thinker with a keen understanding of the vital relationship between corporate governance and seafood sustainability. He can enable our clients to mitigate short- and long-term risk.”

Kolibius is a longtime consultant in the fast-moving consumer goods sector, having consulted with Unilever/Nomad, Coty/P&G, and Keurig/Dr. Pepper.

“Promoting seafood products and increased consumption satisfies my desire to contribute to the [United Nations] global food security initiatives,” Kolibius said. “I am excited to partner with Seafood People and lend my skills to companies to improve their marketing, KPIs, and channel strategies.

Seafood People’s global executive advisor network is designed to be a “one-stop shop for the critical competencies needed by the seafood industry,” Bakke said.

“We’re redefining the consulting approach and partnering with industry leaders and subject matter experts,” he said. “By utilizing our unique global executive network, recruitment services, and now adding  these capabilities, we can provide companies with innovative solutions and services.”
