Massachusetts, U.S.A.-based importer Stavis Seafoods is entering into a primary distribution partnership with redistributor R.W. Zant Company, the company announced on 24 July.
Effective starting on 1 August, the two companies will store and deliver each other's products. The California-based, family-owned redistribution company, which is one of the largest within the country, specializes in protein and dairy wholesale distribution to foodservice and retail outlets throughout the Western United States. The agreement will give Stavis the opportunity to sell its inventory of more than 1,300 domestic and imported seafood products to more customers in the Western U.S. region and will allow R.W. Zant’s to considerably expand its seafood category offerings.

Products that will become more immediately available to R.W. Zant customers beginning next month include those under popular Stavis Seafoods’ brands such as BOS’N, Foods From the Sea, Prince Edward, Ocean Delight, and Boston Pride; customers can also get a taste for partnership-exclusive offerings, like Stavis’ Gaston-Brand Coldwater South African Lobster.
