Seattle, Washington, U.S.A.-based Ocean Beauty Seafoods has hired Stutts Armstrong as its U.S. East Coast sales manager, the company announced 25 October.
Nathan Rice, who previously served in the position, will move into the newly created position of national foodservice sales manager for Ocean Beauty.
“We are very pleased to have a such a knowledgeable seafood salesperson as Stutts to grow the East Coast business for Ocean Beauty,” Ocean Beauty Seafoods Vice President of Sales and Marketing Ron Christianson said. “He started out in the Alaska seafood business and has built product and market expertise with a wide variety of species and companies since then. We know his experience will be a great asset for Ocean Beauty.”
Most recently, Armstrong worked as vice president of sales for Prince Edward Island, Canada-based mussel grower Atlantic Aqua Farms, and prior to that, he was vice president of retail sales at Bonamar. He has also held sales positions at Vita Food Products, Great Fish Company, Ocean to Ocean, and Aqua Star. He started his career working for Icicle Seafoods, rising to becoming national sales manager over a 14-year stint at the firm.

Ocean Beauty operates seven seafood distribution locations across the Western United States and two smoking and processing plants in Washington state. The company’s ownership includes the Bristol Bay Economic Development Council, a community development quota group that supports economic development in Western Alaska villages, and a group of veteran seafood executives. The company was featured in SeafoodSource’s Top 25 Seafood Product Innovators list in September 2021.
