Acclaimed seafood restaurant eyes Boston for expansion

Celebrated Portland, Maine U.S.A.-based seafood restaurant Eventide Oyster Co. is planning on making a move down the coastline to Boston, Massachusetts.

Big Tree Hospitality, the company behind some of Portland’s most popular restaurants including Eventide, Honey Paw, and Hugo’s, is “actively involved” in acquiring a new restaurant space near to Fenway in Boston, it said in a news release.

As of now, the new location would go by the name “Eventide Fenway” and be located at 1321 Boylston Street. A “concise and creative” seafood menu would be offered at the new “casual counter-service setting,” explained the company. More details will become available as the company gets further along in the expansion process.

Eventide Oyster Co. has earned numerous accolades for its seafood offerings from publications such as Eater, Conde Nast Traveler, and Travel + Leisure, noted Boston.com. Eventide’s co-owners and celebrated chefs, Andrew Taylor and Mike Wiley, have been named as semifinalists for a 2016 James Beard Award for their involvement with The Honey Paw.
