Bumble Bee Seafoods has introduced 12 new tuna products that will be available at retail outlets across the United States.
The San Diego, California, U.S.A.-based firm, which was acquired in 2020 by Fong Chun Formosa (FCF) Fishery Company, sells a full line of seafood and specialty protein products in the U.S., Canada, and around 50 other markets globally under the Bumble Bee, Anova, Brunswick, Clover Leaf, Snow’s, Wild Selections and Beach Cliff brands.
The new SKUs include both new products and line extensions. They are:
- Bumble Bee Prime Yellowfin in Extra Virgin Olive Oil in five-ounce cans, in three flavors: Lemon and Pepper, Balsamic and Herb, and Basil Pesto and Roasted Garlic;
- Bumble Bee Snack on the Run! Tuna Salad & Crackers Kit in Ranch Flavor;
- Bumble Bee Chunk Light Tuna, available in Oil and in Water, both with MSC-certified tuna (in five-ounce and 10-ounce cans, in readily recyclable paperboard four-packs and 10-packs of five-ounce cans, and in a three-pack of three-ounce pouch format, water only);
- Bumble Bee Pouched Wild-Caught Tuna in Teriyaki Flavor, with Marine Stewardship Council-certified tuna;
- Bumble Bee Pouched Wild-Caught Light Tuna in Water in a three-pack format;
- Bumble Bee Solid White Albacore Cans, Low-Sodium.

Shepherd said the new additions complement several items that Bumble Bee introduced in 2022, including Bumble Bee Wild-Caught Tuna Pouches in two flavors: Applewood Smoke and Mediterranean Herbs and Spices, and Bumble Bee Quick Catch Tuna Bowls in Southwest, Mediterranean, and Teriyaki flavor combinations. In 2021, the company debuted Bumble Bee Protein on the Run Kits, which were named a Best New Snack Product by Progressive Grocer in 2022. Protein on the Run flavor choices includes Zesty Lemon, Black Pepper, and Mild Jalapeno.
Bumble Bee is shipping the new products to retailers now, according to Shepherd.
