Denny’s, Subway unveil Lent seafood specials

Denny’s and Subway are the latest restaurant chains to feature seafood options during the Lenten season.

Denny’s has added a wild Grilled Haddock entree to its Fit Fare menu. The haddock is served with the guests’ choice of sides, including broccoli or whole-grain rice.

Meanwhile, Subway’s new Green Goddess Tuna Melt sandwich includes flaked tuna blended with mayo and topped with shredded mozzarella, spinach, fresh tomatoes, onions, and a green goddess dressing, Chew Boom reported.

Developed in partnership with Tastemade, the Tuna Melt was selected from hundreds of recipes driven by Tastemade data insights, according to Chew Boom.

The new sandwich will be available through 24 April.

A plethora of restaurant chains have added special seafood menu items for the Lenten season, including White Castle, which brought back Shrimp Nibbles and Seafood Crab Cake Sliders, and Jack in the Box, which rolled out a Fish Sandwich made with Alaska pollock.
