Finalists selected for 2025 Seafood Excellence Awards

Seafood Expo North America/Seafood Processing North America announced 11 finalists have been selected for the 2025 Seafood Excellence Awards.

Selected from a list of market-ready products that are either launching soon or launched in the past 18 months, the 11 products will compete in the finals during the 43rd edition of North America’s largest seafood trade event, running from 16 to 18 March at the Boston Convention and Exhibition Center in Boston, Massachusetts, U.S.A. The winners of the final competition will be announced during the event at 3:30 p.m. EDT on 16 March in the Wave Makers’ Zone.

The 2025 finalists were selected from a pool of 68 entries and will compete for one of two awards: Best New Foodservice Product and Best New Retail Product. All 68 new products entered into the competition will be on display during Seafood Expo North America in the New Product Showcase.

The finalists competing for 2025 Best New Foodservice Product are:

  • American Unagi Inc. – Gluten Free Eel Kabayaki Fillet
  • Clearwater Seafoods – Breaded Arctic Surf Clams
  • St. Ours & Co. LLC – St. Ours Crab Broth

The finalists competing for 2025 Best New Retail Product are:

  • Channel Fish Processing – Spanakopita Wild Blue Catfish
  • Clearwater Seafoods –  Arctic Surf Clams in Brine
  • Eastern Fish Co. – Shrimp Bao Bun
  • Icy Waters, LLC – Atlantic Salmon with a Guinness Sweet Honey Mustard Melt & Panko Crumb
  • Multi X – Latitude 45 Smoked Salmon Charcuterie Board
  • Naera Icelandic Snacks – Næra Ranch Salmon Crunchy Fish Bites
  • Patagonia Seafarms – Salmon Kefta Kebabs
  • Thunder’s Catch –  Wild Salmon Curry

The Seafood Excellence Awards is the North American extension of the Seafood Excellence Global Awards competition, held at Seafood Expo Global in Barcelona, Spain, and the Seafood Excellence Asia Awards competition, held at Seafood Expo Asia in Singapore.

All three competitions are organized by Diversified, the producers of Seafood Expo North America/Seafood Processing North America, Seafood Expo Global/Seafood Processing Global, and Seafood Expo Asia. Diversified also produces SeafoodSource, the official media for all three events.
