Keff Inducted Into Wild Salmon Hall of Fame

Christine Keff, owner and chef at the Flying Fish restaurant in Seattle, was inducted into the Pacific Northwest Wild Salmon Hall of Fame this weekend.

Keff was chosen from among five nominees honored Saturday at an annual banquet sponsored by the Pacific Northwest Salmon Center in Belfair, Wash. The hall of fame is celebrating its sixth year.

The award recognizes people who demonstrate a passion for wild salmon, enhance public knowledge of the fish and produce a measurable body of work.

Keff has been serving only wild-caught salmon since 1996, a year after she opened the Flying Fish. Keff, who also gives speeches to groups about organic food and sustainable seafood, also conducts cooking classes at her restaurant and hosts luncheons that feature discussions with local fishermen.
