Legal Sea Foods selling cups of clam chowder for one dollar next week

On Monday, 15 January, U.S.-based seafood restaurant chain Legal Sea Foods will once again be honoring National Soup Month with its annual “Chowda Day” promotion, wherein customers can cozy up to a cup of New England Clam Chowder for just USD 1.00 (EUR 0.83) with the purchase of an entrée at participating Legal locations.

Legal Sea Foods, which was founded in Massachusetts in 1950, has 26 locations across the Bay State, as well as restaurants in Washington, D.C. and Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. Visitors to any Legal Sea Foods’ dinning room will be permitted one cup of the restaurant’s signature chowder per entrée, with no substitutions.

"We're declaring a 'Legal' Holiday, Chowda Day! Come in and get a cup of New England Clam Chowder for $1 (with purchase of an entree) because our chowder is #1," Legal announced on its website.

The company celebrated “Chowda Day” last year, as well as in 2016.
