U.K. supermarket group Morrisons has reduced the price of its oysters to just GBP 0.25 (EUR 0.32; USD 0.36) each in the run-up to Valentine’s Day.
Until 14 February, Pacific oysters are being sold in packs of six for GBP 1.50 (EUR 1.94; USD 2.16) in Morrisons’ fresh fish cabinets, compared to the usual price of GBP 3.47 (EUR 4.48; USD 5.01).
Where available, the oysters are also being sold individually from the multiple’s fish counters for GBP 0.25.
Morrisons is sourcing the oysters from farms in the United Kingdom and Ireland.
