Pacific Seafood plant gets BRC certification

Another Pacific Seafood plant, the Portland, Oregon-based company’s fourth, has earned the British Retail Consortium (BRC) certification, the company said in a release today.

Located in Woodland, Wash., the facility packs cooked and raw shellfish. The certification covers that operation, along with the facility’s inspection, grading, trimming, freezing and repacking of finfish. Certification means the plants operations are up to the BRC’s standards for food safety and hygiene.

“We are happy to be able to provide our customers with the greatest assurance in our food handling safety and expertise,” said Randy Morrell, the plant’s operations manager. “BRC certification takes our processes and teams to the next level of quality and food safety.”
