Red Lobster has unveiled a new shrimp dish, while stepping up marketing of its seafood trays and meals to go.
The Orlando, Florida-based restaurant chain launched Cheddar Bay Shrimp, which combines the company’s renowned Cheddar Bay Biscuit and shrimp.
"Everyone loves our Cheddar Bay Biscuits, and our shrimp is a close second favorite, so it just made sense to finally put the two together. This first-ever mash-up is crispy, crunchy and full of flavor that will keep you coming back for more," Red Lobster Chief Marketing Officer Patty Trevino said in a press release.
The new shrimp dish is included in Red Lobster’s Create Your Own Ultimate Feast. Diners can choose four of 10 new and classic preparations, including two premium selections and two shrimp selections, plus the choice of two sides. Unlimited Cheddar Bay Biscuits are also included.
Red Lobster is offering “new and classic entertaining solutions” such as Petite Maine Lobster Tail and Lobster and Shrimp Cocktail platters. The company is also touting family meals like the Whole Maine Lobster Holiday Feast and Bar Harbor Lobster Bake Family Meal that customers can order online or at restaurants.
Red Lobster’s new web site, Red Lobster Shop, features its 2022 Holiday Collection, a curated selection of “get-em-before-they're-gone seasonal and everyday apparel and accessories.”
“Red Lobster is helping everyone sleigh the holidays with the launch of the Red Lobster Shop, featuring limited-edition, festive apparel like the Cheddar Bay Sleigh Ugly Sweater, outfitted with an insulated pocket to keep Cheddar Bay Biscuits warm and safe,” the company said in a press release.
