Schwan’s Food Service, a Marshall, Minn.-based foodservice provider, on Tuesday announced it is now offering sushi to schools.
Rising Sun Sushi is a thaw-and-serve line of fully cooked seafood and vegetable rolls conveniently packaged for school cafeterias.
According to Schwan’s, the sushi has been well received by the school foodservice market so far, earning praise for freshness and authenticity.
The sushi brand was developed for the company by Strategic Name Development on Minneapolis, a brand naming company.
A subsidiary of The Schwan Food Co., Schwan’s Food Service markets and distributes numerous branded frozen food products and meal solutions to schools, colleges and universities, hospitals, chain restaurants, convenience stores and other foodservice channels throughout the United States.
