Seafood Shines on Holland America's Fall Menu

Lobster macaroni and cheese and broiled or poached lobster tail are among the new menu items at The Pinnacle Grill, Holland America Line's high-end, reservations-only restaurant.

The fall menu was created by Master Chef Rudi Sodamin and introduced on the m/s Eurodam early this summer. It features a number of seafood entrées, including broiled, troll-caught salmon, cedar-planked black cod with shrimp scampi, and filet mignon and jumbo prawns on whipped potatoes with garlic rosemary beurre blanc.

"Master Chef Sodamin has designed this new menu to offer our guests a wider range of dishes and flavors," says Richard Meadows, executive VP of marketing, sales and guest programs. "The restaurant is such a popular spot that we want to keep it fresh with much variety and allow guests to dine several nights a cruise as many like to do. The menu continues to highlight Holland America's Pacific Northwest roots while adding innovative accents to heighten the Pinnacle Grill dining experience."

The fall menu also spotlights a number of seafood appetizers, including lobster bisque, jumbo shrimp cocktail, Dungeness crab cakes with spiral shaved cucumber and sweet chili-mustard sauce, and the Pinnacle Ocean Platter (carpaccio of lightly smoked salmon, hot-smoked salmon, sea scallops and wasabi cream).

Pinnacle Grill guests pay a surcharge of $20 per person for dinner and $15 for lunch.
