Kings Food Markets, which is based in Parsippany, New Jersey-based and which operates 24 Kings stores and seven Balducci’s stores, is going all-in on swordfish and tuna this Memorial Day, according to Rick Michener, director of seafood sales and merchandising.
“Memorial Day is a huge barbecue holiday, but what we are trying to push with our customers is all the good fish we can get out there,” Michener told SeafoodSource. “We worked on really good pricing [on swordfish and tuna] and hopefully customers trade up from hot dogs.”
