Walmart has completed several executive changes that will likely impact seafood suppliers that sell to the major retailer.
Shawn Baldwin, senior vice-president and general merchandise manager for produce and global food sourcing, will now focus on a new initiative for Hispanic customers. Martin Mundo, who has worked in Argentina and other countries, will replace Baldwin. Walmart also named Greg Hall as senior vice-president of merchandise operations for food. Meanwhile, Tyler Lehr will be responsible for deli services.
The company has repositioned several of its executives in new roles so it can deliver and win at a time when retail is constantly changing, Charles Redfield, executive vice president for food at Walmart U.S., wrote in an internal memo, according to Reuters.
