Young’s Launches Credit Crunch Frozen Fish Line

In response to the challenging economic climate, U.K. supplier Young’s Seafood this week announced special pricing for its retail line of frozen seafood items in a “Credit Crunch” marketing campaign.

Young's Credit Crunch offers are available on its best selling Chip Shop range. Young's Chip Shop Fish & Chips, Fish Fillets, Fish Fingers and Jumbo Specials Large Bubble Batter Fish Cakes will be available at the special retail price of just £1.00 (US$1.46) this month. Also, Young's Jumbo Specials John Smiths Bitter, Jumbo Specials Sea Salt & Malt Vinegar and Jumbo Specials Extra Large Bubbly Batter will be available at half price.

"Young's always strives to be in tune with its consumers needs,” says Charlotte Broughton, marketing controller at Young's Seafood. "With lots of different products to choose from, the range is ideal for all the family and certainly won't break the bank!"

Young's sells around a half-million packs of its Chip Shop line weekly, with annual sales in excess of £60m (US$87.5 million). The company’s United Kingdom sales exceed £260 million (US$379.3 million) annually.
