San Francisco, California, U.S.A.-based CleanFish appointed a new sales manager for the West Coast and promoted Karim Machi, former west coast sales and operations manager, to director of purchasing.
CleanFish’s new U.S. West Coast sales and operations manager is Will Rogers, who has held sales and business development roles with Icicle Seafoods, Keyport, and Blue Harvest Fisheries.
Rogers was also on the management team for American Gold Seafood/Cooke Aquaculture Pacific, overseeing harvest, production, and certifications as part of the team that accomplished Best Aquaculture Practices (BAP) certifications for five marine sites and a freshwater hatchery.
In his new role, Machi, one of the first employees of CleanFish, will be the key contact with producers on purchasing.
“During his tenure, he has worked as an evangelist with chefs across the country, lead sales throughout the West, [and] liaised with logistics,” CleanFish said in a press release.
“CleanFish is continuing to grow with the addition of new fish to our portfolio and increased presence in new markets,” said CleanFish Managing Director Mike Moniz. “We look forward to this new chapter for Karim as he takes over the vitally important job of purchasing and celebrate the addition of Will to grow our business across the western states.”
